PARENT COUNCIL
There are vacancies in Nursery, Year 3, and Year 6, so any volunteers from these classes will be especially welcome. Just turn up! This term we are going to be helping the Pupil Council with some fundraising activities.

SPELLING GROUP/ BOOK CLUB
The ‘Brush Up Your Spelling’ group has been really enjoyable- so much so that the 6 week course became 26 weeks! We will be meeting every half term to do some word puzzles over a cup of tea, learn some spelling tips and discuss a book. . You can get hold of the latest book we are reading on Amazon or e-bay very cheaply. It’s called The River, by Kate Grenville. Why not join us? I promise you will leave smiling.

CARER AND BABY/TODDLER GROUP
If there is enough interest, I would like to run a ‘Stay and Play’ session for anyone with pre-school children, from babies upwards. The session would be on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm‘til 3 pm and would be open to people outside of school too, so if you have any friends with young children, they would be welcome to come along. There will be toys and activities to suit the whole age range, plus song time and a story each session, in the Nursery classroom. There would be have to be a small charge per session to cover the cost of paints, glue etc and a healthy snack for the children. Miss Neale has suggested £1, which shouldn’t break the bank!

FAMILY WORKSHOPS
We have now run several after-school workshops for you to attend with your child/ren and the feedback has been very positive. I am open to suggestions, so if you’ve got an idea for the next workshop, please share it! You can leave a message with the office staff or catch me when I’m out and about around school.

FAMILY SEAL
Several children have asked when the next Family Seal sessions will be taking place. There won’t be a group this term, but I will be running the workshops again in the Spring and Summer terms. Watch this space!
